Ultrasonic Size Question

Hi, I just received an Elmasonic 1/4 gallon / 1 liter ultrasonic. For some reason they rate these larger than capacity and it’s only ~750ml. I didn’t read the dimensions…Anyways it’s shallow and small but seems like most of my projects should fit in it…Don’t even need a basket as only 2" deep.
That said I have a 2 liter version for ~10 years till I broke it and it did a good job.
Aside from size and price (the 2L is ~$100 more) any down/upside to either size?
I tried the 1L version and it was pretty aggressive and I wonder if they use same mechanics in both size and the effects on smaller volume more aggressive.
I can return swap out no problem other than extended shipping times.
Thanks!

I tried to figure out the answer to your question, but couldn’t. The manufacturer or the jewelry tool company that you bought the ultrasonic from should be able to help you.

Best of luck!!

Jeff

I’ve had ok luck with Elmasonic. The 1 liter is only ~750ml and shallow so it kinda splashes when you use the powerful pulse mode. BUT it does an amazing job! I liver of sulphur’d a batch of rings after using the pulse and man I got THE best most even patina ever! I use ultrasonics every time before antiquing but nothing was cleaning like this one!
I’m returning it for the 2L which is ~1.5L in reality.
