[UK Source] Brass sheet

Hi, I need some brass sheet fairly quickly and I would like to buy
it in the UK, but I am not sure where. Any suggestions (not Cookson)?

Most model engineering shops will sell it, try a quick google search
for it using “model engineering supplies brass sheet” and you will
get some good hits. Jean Burhouse is one I of several I have used in
the past.

they supply a large range of non-ferrous metals in any size or shape

Hi!

I have bought some Brass sheet from Ringwood Precision Engineering
in Hampshire UK. I found the company through Ebay when searching for
Copper and Brass sheet in smallish quantities.

I’ve used them also, but in my experience they were a bit of a
rip-off when I bought short stainless steel rods in varying
dimensions, to use as jump ring mandrels. I hope your experiences are
better.

I have dealt with Mallard Metals- very fair prices, quick delivery
and good - not great service people!Indicate the brass you want
though or you may get something you don’t want to work with, or a
bronze. They cut in lengths up to 36 inches long ( about 91 and a
half centimeters). I find lengths cut at 9 inches / 22. 8 cm
increments make it easy to cut strips (with a bench sheer or metals
chop saw - i have a small harbor freight saw that cuts strips
beautifully using the guide on it’s table) for bracelet blanks…most
other pieces except holloware are accommodated within the 90 or so
centimeter length cuts, then a standard 12" x 12" sheet is
ordinarily available (UK= 30 1/2 x 30 1/2 cm) without an extra
cutting charge added…rer
