In the UK the joint Assay Offices have now agreed to hallmark
Palladium, initially it will be voluntary (from April 2009) and then
it will become compulsory like other precious metals. Items over 1gm
will require to be hallmarked by law from 1st January 2010 by the UK
Assay Offices. Several grades of purity are to be introduced.
