[UK Conference] ACJ Crossings

When I see new member postings from UK Orchidians, I send info on the
Association for Contemporary Jewellery (ACJ) We have recently
redesigned our website, and this may be of interest to Orchidland in
general. There is a gallery of some members’ work which is growing.

ACJ has an inclusive, non-juried membership policy, while striving
for excellence. Most members are makers including many of the best in
Britain, also we include gallerists, educators, historians and
collectors, and have members from overseas.

For UK members there is a network of regional groups which are very
active. We publish our journal Findings in print twice a year and
send a monthly e-bulletin with news, and opportunities.

We are planning our Conference “Crossings” for 19-21 July 2010 at the
wonderful West Dean College in Chichester on the south coast, booking
opens in January. We are pleased to announce that Wendy Ramshaw and
David Watkins will be giving the keynote address; from the USA
Cynthia Eid and Robert Ebendorf will be part of a full programme of
inspirational talks and workshops.

The Conference is open to all interested as delegates. ACJ could be
compared to SNAG, although being the UK we are smaller!
