Typical gauge used for flatware

spoon. What gauge is typically used for this?

I have made a few baby spoons (and “pushers”-- shaped like a hoe,
slightly older kids use them instead of fingers to get food onto the
fork). I like to use 18ga if they are not forged much, or 16ga if the
design calls for much hammering. I cut the narrowest part a bit wide
and forge it in so it becomes thicker, since that part can bend
easily, otherwise.
