Tungsten Carbide ball burrs

Hello fellow Orchidians, Any of you clever people out there have a
source for tungsten carbide burrs, preferably ball burrs between
2mm-4mm. Any help in sourcing these amazing burrs would be much
appreciated. Best Regards Terence M Dillon Chivali Artisan Goldsmiths

Hi Terrence,

Try Pfingst & Co. (customerservice@pfingstco.com). They are a Busch
burr supplier. Their catalog is geared to the dental profession &
isn’t the easiest to use. They assign numbers to their burrs, & I’ve
yet to find a table that cross references burr # to mm.

Dave, There are pages of burs available in the Grobet catalog, which
is used by many supply houses so it should be easy to get (Allcraft
has it). The charts for burs (they do carry the Busch line as well
as others) do cross reference bur #'s with mm sizes. Ex. #1=1mm,
#2=1.20mm, #2.5=1.30mm etc. If you have trouble getting this catalog
(others may have the same thing) I’ll copy the ones you want and
post it in Orchid. Joe Dule
