Tumbling shop made jump rings!

Hi there!!

I am making oval jump rings. I am planning on tumbling them after I get them done. My question is? Do I close them down tight where the cut is, so it makes a continuous loop, then tumble them. Or leave them open and just tumble them.

Close them and string them on a bit of plastic covered wire. Makes it easy to extract them from the shot.

If you tumble them open you will dull the cut edges a little. Might be an issue if you solder some of your jump rings… Don

Just finished closing all of them and strung them loosley on small plastic zip ties. They are headed for the tumbler.
