Tumbler suggestions

hi folks

first time posting on this forum.i am a diamond contractor. we
recut, drill, soak, clarity enhance, sorting etc… i need a piece of
equipment similar to a tumbler, but, instead of going round and
round i need it to move back and forth. kind of a vibrating box. i am
afraid a tumbler would chip the diamonds. is there anything like
that on the markete

They make vibratory tumblers that shake instead of having rotating
barrels.

Look at Thumbler’s Tumbler. They are vibratory type.

You might consider a vibratory tumbler. They use a bowl that jiggles
around causing the items being tumbler to rub against each other.
Various mediums can be used as the polishing, grinding, burnishing
mediums.

The 2012 Rio Grande catalog (riogrande.com) has listings of several
different vibratory tumblers beginning on page 378.

The closest to what you are suggesting is a vibratory tumbler such
as a Gy-Roc. Unlike a rotary tumbler it does not tend to knock the
corners of pieces while it gently burnishes
