[Tucson 2006] GANA carvers meeting?

Hello

last year, attended the lecture/dinner by Gana, gem artists of north
america

as I have spent the last 4 years carving, I wish to attend again
this year.

Anybody know the details on when/where?

Mark Zirinsky, Denver

Greetings Mark,

The 2006 Gem Artists of North America (GANA) 12th Annual Meeting is
scheduled for Friday, February 3rd at 6:30 p.m. at The Hotel
Congress, 311 East Congress Street, Tucson, AZ 85701. Open meeting
at 8:00, dinner at 7:00. It is free to attend meeting alone. Dinner is
$25 prepaid, for a reservation contact Rebecca Handley of the Hotel
Congress at 1.800.722.8848. Unfortunately this coincides with the
Orchid Dinner, so I will miss seeing most of you.

I would encourage anyone interested in gem art to consider joining
GANA as an artist or associate member.

GANA also has an table upstairs at the AGTA show on the
east end of the hall. Feel free to stop by and get more info and
chat with whoever is (wo)manning the booth. We are always interested
in talking to other carvers or anyone interested in gem art.

Epaul,

Will GANA be represented at AGTA this year? I’ve been looking for
you, in the Show Guide, hoping to find the wonderful display you had
there in 2004. Couldn’t attend last year, so finding it difficult to
locate you all.

Let me (all of us Orchidians attending Tucson 2006) know where your
display will be.

Thanks a bunch,
Kay Taylor

Correction: No. Amer. Gem Carvers, not GANA

Oops, meant to ask whether No. Amer. Gem Carvers will be represented
at Tucson this year.

If so, when/where? Thanks a bunch!

Sorry for the mix-up.

Kay Taylor

Kay,

GANA also has an table upstairs at the AGTA show on the
east end of the hall. We are listed under Exhibitors for the AGTA
show on page 126 of the Tucson Show Guide. We don’t seem to be shown
on the map on page 127 (?!) but we are one of the info tables, the
one on the far east end (bottom of map) next to #42. We do have a
lovely display so hopefully we are easy to locate.

Feel free to stop by and get more info and chat with whoever is
(wo)manning the booth. We are always interested in talking to other
carvers or anyone interested in gem art.
