At Tucson Gem Mall 2005 I will be introducing a new concave facetted
spiral cut. I call this cut the “Spircle”. It is an amazing cut
and has taken me two years to develop the best set of angles, spatial
separation, and crown facets. You will be amazed at how this cut
works and it is done in jewelry sized stones of 2-5 carats. Supply
is limited as the practice stones have all been sold. See you there
at the Gem Mall booth 111.
We will have about 6,000 carats of “Jungle cut” Concave faceted
stones in the Brazilian ‘Millenium’ cut in calibrated Amethyst,
Citrine, and Green Gold Quartz in Ovals, Cushions, Rounds, and
Trilliums. Since they are all “Jungle cut” the prices will be quite
conveniently lower than in other venues at the Tucson Shows.
Also the Concave faceted stones in the Brazilian ‘Millenium’ cut in
Tourmaline, Hiddenite, Green Beryl and Yellow Beryl.
Best regards,
Robert Lowe

The Gem Mall is just north of the Holidome on Michigan Street. It is
the main parking for the Holidome and now features three tents full
of wholesalers most of which are from Asia. The shuttle bus stops
there as well as the G+LW shuttle between the Holidome and the Gem
Mall. If you are driving, the main entrance is from Randolph or
Country Club both of which are east-west streets that intersect
Michigan Street. The best way is off I-10 at Paloverde North then
turn left (North) just past the Holidome on Michigan Street. Large
signs will direct you to the entrance for the Gem Mall. You will
turn left (west) on either Randolph Way or Country Club Road to get
to the entrance. The parking lot is patrolled, lighted, gated, and
gravel which can get muddy in rains. We are in the main tent booth #111.
I just want to say, that i wish i could be going too, but i cant
this year. However, im not sure if Cornelia (Nellie) and Steve are
going to be there this year. They come from Australia and they deal
in Black Opal from Lighting Ridge. They are personal friends of mine,
and I can assure everyone that they have good quality opal at very
good prizes. They have a shop in Lighting Ridge, they buy straight
from the miners (my brother is one of them) they cut the stones
themselves and are very nice, genuine people. They usually go every
year, so i think they will be there this year too. So if you are in
search of good Lightning Ridge Opal, look for Nellie and Steve
You may visit us for rough in GJX booth #1206 (far left near the
back). We represent the mine owners for a new find of Amethyst /
Citrine (Namibia - SW Africa) This new material rivals the finest
Amethyst in the world with golf ball chunks rich purple / strong red
flash. This will be the first display of material since discovery
last summer.
We represent the mine owners for African Pietersite also. We offer
Pietersite in slabs.
If you have any problem call me. I don’t spend much time at the
booth.
Hi all, I’ll be at Rio’s Catalog in Motion, demonstrating the new
electric saw that Lee Marshall and Phil Poirier have developed for
Bonny Doon. It’s very cool: variable speed controlled with a foot
pedal, easy blade tensioning, a hold-down mechanism so that it
doesn’t chatter and bounce around…and it’s a gorgeous red. Come
by, say hi, and check it out!
