help, i thought the gem show started on the 29th of feb. but
with all the mailers and infor it seems i booked the wrong
weekend, i can also go on the 10-13, need some advice as to what
weekend is the best, i can not get hotel the weekend of the
2,3,4. thanks jill

have you tried some of the net travel sites? The digs might not
be splendor but from what I understand, the weekend of the
4th-6th is the weekend to be there. Please, to the more
knowledgeable, correct me if I am wrong. I am fortunate to have
friends in Tucson who asked me to stay with them. Good luck!

Do go take a look at the tucsonshowguide website (below) to see
the schedules of all of the shows and to get hotel
By the 10th to the 13th the GJX, AGTA, and GLDA shows are all
finished as are several of the other shows.
If you only have a few days, come during the week of February
2-8 and go to the three above mentioned shows GJX, AGTA, and
GLDA There will be opals in each of them. If you have time left
over after these three shows, go across the freeway to the Motel
Shows. You will have to “work” at it more as these shows are
very “eclectic” and mix more things together.
The show you mention from 10 to 13th of February is the
“Retail,” open to the public, Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. It is
basically “after” the other shows have closed. Lots of good
dealers - of course the prices will be different, as it is a
“retail” show. It also costs about USD$ 5.50 to get in each day.

You can even pre register for some of the shows from this web
