One of my client’s home was broken into in Toronto, Canada. Any
suggestions on how to track or alert jewellers/refiners to be on the
look out for stolen merchandise. Distictive Art Jewellery as well as
gold and diamond jewellery was stolen.

Jerell- I am so sorry that this has happened to your client. In the
past I have had some success tracking down stolen jewelry by just
visiting the local pawn shops and refiner with pics and descriptions
of my work. You just have to get out there and do the leg work. Just
calling won’t work unless you have a very good relationship with the
local pawn brokers or flea markets. Also speed is of the essence.
With metal prices so hight stuff gets scrapped out pretty fast.
