Peter, I don’t really want to use it as a gemological test.
Now that the boys and I have chipped a couple of Moissanites. I
suspect they are not as tough as C3 claims. The one I
chipped/melted? was while tipping into a Man’s ring. It was
weird because I didn’t see it until I was trimming back the tip.
It was exactly the shape and size of the wire I had laid on top.
Definately less tough than a diamond. I was hoping that toughness
testing was an easier process. Thanks again John
