I have recently seen many different colors of topaz, “sunset”, ruby
red, bi-color, ceylon blue etc. I know that most topaz is heat
treated but it also seems that diffusion and coating treatments are
on the rise. As a consumer I do now ever want to purchase the
later two. Can anybody tell me what types of topaz may be diffusion
or coating treated.
