Titanium 'stripping'?

Howdy Bill and others,

Since most folks coloring ti probably have an anodizer, I was just
wondering if, by use of a reducing solution and/or sacrifical
electrode , reverse current flow could be used to ‘strip’ the
atmospheric oxygen coating from the metal to yield a surface able to
color as well as the etching solution does.

(btw-Reactive metals REALLY does a good job packing the materials you
order from them. not assoc./happy cust.,etc.)

I do not know of anyone who does this. although I have seen reports
of electro-polishing tianium.
