I have a small casting facility catering specifically to making
titanium and zirconium jewelry. I have been having significant
metal/mold reaction issues lately. I am getting occassional heats
with a certain amount of alpha case or internal embrittlement. Any
experts out there who might be able to shed some light on this?

questions. Your alpha case is most likely impurities in your
atmosphere. It would be significant to reveiw the history of your
casts and lot numbers of materials to find when and what anomilies
exist. This could be a very small or combinations of very small
