Another tip for easy removal of jump rings from oval rods (& I
concur with whoever extolled the virtues of oval nails!) is to wrap
a small piece of tissue round the rod then dampen it before wrapping
the wire round. When you’re ready to remove the jump rings simply
gently heat. The tissue will burn off & the jump rings will side off
easily.

Hi , You can make oval jump rings using rectangular rod as a mandrel
, provided it is well paded with paper before hand , burn off the
paper and the coil will come off easily .
