Coincidently, there is a retrospective of his work and other long
time professors from BSC on exhibit in the Anderson Gallery at BSC.
This exhibit was planned prior to his death and opened last Wednesday.
John was cremated as was his wish. There will be no funeral, how
ever it was his wish to be interned in a very old cemetery across from
his house in Halifax, MA. Apparently the right people pulled the
right strings and permission has been granted to do this. So there
may be some kind of service in conjunction. From what we can tell
it’s looks like he went quickly and did not suffer.
A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. April 7 in the Horace Mann
Auditorium at Bridgewater State College.
