I will ask the question again : what are the differences
between the cutting practice of a Thai-Make quality and the
cutting practice of the other kinds of “Make” ? (Cutting
practice, not pricing practice !).

I have answered that already, the different is that although all
cutting centers are suppose to cut their diamonds on the correct
angles as specified in some publications, most of them in order
to overcome manufacturing costs are gaining more weight on the
finished product by ‘playing’ with the degrees (cutting angles).
the Thai make, usually is more closer to the original angles then
other places for the reason of cheap labor which allow us to
yield less of the stone, and make it on the right angles,
resulting in a beautiful stone.

A question from another quarter. To put this matter into more
objective terms, how does “Thai make” compare with 1) " Russian
make" and 2) " Israeli make?" I am referring strictly to mellee
in the 1-7, 8-15 and 15-22 point range. Can you provide pricing
for VS goods in G-I color? Please estimate duty and transfer
costs. Do you have an office in the U.S.?

Basically i can say that Thai make, and Russian make (in its new
way of making) are quite the same in the level of the most nice
jobs, with a slight advantage, in the ‘top top make’ to the Thai
make. in compare to the Israeli make in the mellee, well, can not
compare the Israeli make in mellee size to any of the a.m goods,
it’s too poor.

As for prices, you’ll have to look for them through contacting
any of the diamond dealers on the Net (including ourselves…)
