Deborah–Have you considered using a transparent pale grey enamel
over the silver foil as your first coat–then firing your colored
enamels on subsequent firings? You would have to experiment to get
the shading to match your white gold prior to enameling on your
piece. It is an interesting piece and I would love to see the
triumphant birth!
