Textured finishing- dirt magnet!

Hello: I have been playing around with different finishes for my
jewelry. My favorite is texturing my pieces with those german
steel wire texturing wheels and then I sand blast with crush
ruby. The result is a very pretty textured sparkly surface. The
downside is that is that the surface seems to trap dirt easily.
I was thinking about going one more set with a finer blasting
media so take the “tooth” out of the texture but I was wondering
what people on Orchid think…

Thanks!

Dede - I would try tumbling the piece for 30 minutes after
texturing it. That should smooth off some of the rough edges
that catch debris.
