Tennis necklace linking and otherwise

Hi there! I have been tasked with designing a ruby and emerald necklace, possibly tennis necklace style but possibly not exactly.

Either way, I know that components should be linked above center line to help counteract flipping, but I’m not sure if this should be the case for the entire necklace, or if this should change/move towards center as the links move up the neck. I am wondering if anyone has a resource that shows visuals for tennis necklaces and/or necklaces in general and different sorts of linking options.

I am still learning the mechanics and physics of jewelry in general and this has been my greatest struggle, having not come from a jewelry background.

Attached are a few examples of designs we are considering. Appreciate your time and any advice you may offer!

I’ve never made a tennis bracelet, so I’m no help with advice in constructing one. but I’ve set all the stones in tennis bracelets a number of times. There are round setting jigs for tennis bracelets that are very helpful. Unfortunately, I looked all over for a picture of one, but I couldn’t find any. There’s different styles, some low tech, some higher tech, but they make the setting process be much easier.
