The product teflon coating comes in a spray can like spray paint.
You spray a smooth even coat on your piece, hang in the oven, and
heat. Knifemakers use three colors most often green, black, and
clear. The grain of the metal shows up under the coating and keeps
the pattern in view if you have metal of different colors present.

info came from. Will not get you a price break but he will deal
with you as he would a knifesmith.
