Just in case anyone else is thinking about making an annealing oven
(or some such) there are two heating elements listed on sciplus.com.
The one that interests me the most is item #36411, Chromalux HSP 3x6,
115V, 450W on sale at $1.25 each! The ad indicates that they’re good
to 1000 degrees but they look to me like they would survive well
above that. A few of them and a few fire bricks and I can see a nice
annealing/enameling oven.
