[Supplier] Jade

I am trying to find a supplier of very fine jade for carving.
White/Green-ish like antique jade.

Thanks for any help,

Guy, I’ve done some business with Mason-Kay for fine Jade. Request
their catalog and you will also receive an interesting write up on
what jade is and , more importantly, isn’t. Dyed and wax impregnated
etc. Very nice folks! Mason-Kay contact: www.masonkay.com 1800 722

In doing some poking around, I found
– Midland Gems They have jadeite rough -
avg. quality, as I’d expect. I recently got out of the lapidary
business, hadn’t touched it in a few years, needed the space. I got
rid of most everything except my jade. However, it is not jadeite,
it’s nephrite. Very fine, mostly siberian black, grey, forest green
and apple green or nearly. I have something like 25 lbs. in blocks
looking for a good home.

Hi Guy, You might try emailing Richard Rosenthal at
kenaii@earthlink.com and asking him what he has, at the moment.
Although what I’ve just purchased from him is only Nephrite (albeit,
some extremely translucent “Siberian” material, at that), I seem to
recall his having one of two Burmese Jadeite boulders, as well. Fell
free to use my name as a reference, although all the usual
disclaimers apply.
