Dear Friends:
An Orchid posting regarding Stuller earlier today was totally in
error. It stated that Stuller had closed its U.S. operations and had
moved to Mexico effective February 28. We have, however,
restructured the organization, which will result in a realignment of
our management team. The restructuring resulted in a 2.5% reduction
of our wrold-wide work force, and was designed to streamline our
daily business operation. We believe this will help us sharpen our
focus on our core customers, while enhancing our ability to react to
constantly changing conditions in the marketplace.
Increasing precious metal market prices, which have reached all time
highs, combined with a challenging national economic outlook for the
remainder of 2008, are major contributing foctors for the timing of
the restructure.
Our mission remains to be the fastest, most reliable supplier of
high quality, value added products for the jewelry industry. By
realigning part of our management structure, we will be even more
responsive to our customers’ needs. Such changes are necessary to
ensure that we remain successful in our mission to help the jewelry
industry succeed in challenging times.
