Since I weave wire, I need wire perfectly straight, so what I do is
clamp one end in a vise (mounted, of course), and other end in a
pair of drawtongs or vise grips, and pull. The wire will stretch and
become straight. It also work-hardens the wire, an additional bonus.
That’s my method. Pure and simple.
