Im not sure if that would be a factor or not I always just use slow
even strokes at the end. I think you can pump as fast as you want
while building up the initial pressure however the electric versions
probably go faster than you could pump. More likely you are not
annealing often enough. Also there are limits to what you can do.
Only trial and error will tell you what you can get away with, keep
notes of what you do and you will find what will work or not.
