HI!, I was given a elks tooth by a hunter friend who wanted it
made up for his wife. I guess they are popular items to make
into jewelry. But I cut off the top of it, mounted in in a lovely
design, and it ended up looking like a beautiful tan/clear/cream
kind of stone. Pat
HI Pat; If I’m not mistaken, what you had as an elk’s tooth might
havr brrn what is called an Elk Button which is sort of like an
vistigial remains of a tusk and is not actually a tooth but is in
the same family as ivory. They are not common and are used in an
emblem by the Elks International. They are pretty.
