Stones on memo

I haven’t gotten gems on memo. It was my understanding that they had
just sent them to him without his request. After it was further
explained that “memo” meant you request gems to see if someone wants
to buy them, then it would not be mail fraud. If you request
something then it would be on you.

Yes I agree. When I call a dealer reqeuesting stones or anything on
memo I should pay shipping to me and back. But this company called
wanting to show me their quality stones. I did not call them.And I
did return them within a reasonable timeframe and paid for Exress
shipping. I think I should have to pay for that companys
advertisment!

But the point is that you must have said yes, otherwise they wouldn’t
have sent them. It’s my understanding from what the experienced
jewelers here (who all use memo regularly) have said, that if you
agree to memo, you agree to pay the shipping both ways if you don’t
purchase the goods.
