C J C Burhouse in Huddersfield are cheap and medium quality Hilton
bros Ltd of Stockport are Manchester Minerals parent company and about
half the price Marcia Lanyon in London are very good but not cheap
Joias (in Wells I think ) An eclectic selection probably the most
unusual cuts around Bernard Lowe in Hockley Birmingham a standard trade
source I could suggest more these are just the ones that spring to
mind,a proviso is that they are mostly for trade and have a minimum
monthly order 20-50 per month why not go to the Earls Court jewellery
show in september you will see quite a few of them therer.

Tim.

Karen, looking further down the google search list results I found a

Karen, you might find what you want at “Manchester Minerals”, based
in Stockport, but selling mail-order. I used them regularly when they
had a small outlet near my home. After that closed I travelled to
their main Stockport showroom a couple of times. That was ten years
ago, so cannot speak about their quality now. They used to sell a
good range of polished cabs and some faceted material. Also beads,
rough and a range of tools. They also had a range of cheapo mounts
that stones would either snap into or be glued into, and which were
recognisable at thirty paces at craft fairs. They are on the web at:

We have a few customers in England - the nice thing about the
Internet is that it can be anywhere. We were worried about the
shipping issue but we find that we can ship with a fair degree of
security for just a few dollars more than we ship in the US. We also
did some checking to see if there were any export documents or
restrictions that would make a difference and the answer was no as
long as the order was valued at less than $2,500.

We invite you to check out our site at www.worldwidegemstones.net and
let us know what you think.
