Stone setting class in Florida?

I am looking to take a stone setting class. I see that there is a
school here in Sunrise Florida (I live in Florida). The American
School of Jewelry. Has anyone attended any of these classes? I
really would like some feed back before I commit to them.

Thanks
Julia

Hi Julia,

I’m sorry I don’t have experience with this school to share, but
this is the first I’ve heard of them. I’ll ask around with the folks
I know around here. If you decide to take any of their classes,
please let me know how it goes. Thank you,

Julia,

I have not attended the school…The American School of Jewelry.
But, I have had several students who have. The reviews were not
glowing. However, having said that…I visited the school when it
first opened and found it very well equipped and layed out. I also
know Eddie Zargon who runs the school and know he is a jeweler of
some repute and long experience. Therefore, I would expect the school
should be a good experience.

I also suspect my students (who came to me after their course at the
school) might not have been ready for serious study of jewelry
disciplines.

I recommend you visit the school and talk to Eddie. Look around and,
if possible, talk with someone who has recently attended.

Cheers from Don at The Charles Belle Studio in SOFL where simple
elegance IS fine jewelry!
