I am gathering on standards for commission rates for
jewelry sold in galleries and stores. What markup percentage is
appropriate for one who markets finished peices in a custom shop or
gallery from the perspective of both the owner of the store, and the
artist who displays and sells a finished piece. What is the
wholesale purchase price as compared to the commission split if the
same piece is sold on consignment.
