Stamping gold filled

Hi all you wise people. I am making some pendants with 14K, gold
filled metal and need advice on how to mark them. Will it be o.k,
for me to u se my 14K stamp, and follow it with the letters GF? I
never worked with gold filled before, but thought it would be a
nice alternative for thos e who cannot afford gold jewelry, but want
the gold color. However, I th ink when I finish these pendants I
will switch to bi-metal gold over sterling, as I don’t like the brass
interior of the gold-filled metal. A lma

Alma, you have to indicate also what amount of the total metal is
14K. A typical gold filled stock will be usually either 1/40th or
1/20th gold, with the remainder base metal. So the normal stamp for
such would be something like “1/20 14K G.F.”

Alma- For what its worth we have always marked it 1/20-14Kt GF
