Best way to stamp name on waxes
If your referring to hard carving wax, I cut a shallow [1/2 - 1MM] trench just a bit larger than the stamp. Then I melt in a softer wax and, this will take some experimentation, as the wax begins to cool, push your stamp into it. You can always use your wax pen to re heat the soft wax and attempt impression again until it looks good.
For injection wax items, just touch your wax pen to warm a suitable sized area for your stamp to make an impression. Some small area stamps will even give a fine impression in room temp injection wax.
