You should not rule out Delrin plastic as a steak material. It will not
crack like wood under impact and has a little more of a forgiving nature.
It will not dent up the metal quite as easily if you use a steak and hammer
both of this material. It has excellent load bearing qualities in both
tension and compression. It has a room temp. tensile strength of 10,000 psi
at 16% elongation.It has a low fricyion high wear resistance rato and
offers ease of fabrication. It is not UV stabilized though so do not take
