Try Jarvi Tool Co. in Anaheim CA, 714-774-9104,
jtfacetron@earthlink.net. They mfg. a number of other ring mandrels.
They may be able to help you.

WE manufacture the reg. carbon steel mandrels which are heat treated
so you can work on them.

How many of the s/steel mandrels are you looking for and at what
hardness. Or what purpose would this serve. If you are not hitting on
them then you could use the aluminum mandrels we make.

“K Kelly on mandrels” why make if you can buy them! I suggest Stuller
Tool magazine page 165 August/2000 issue (thats the copy I have!) at a
very reasonable price too! I would suggest a “grooved mandrel” you
never know when it’ll come in handy for setting or sizing with exposed
culets of stones!..gerry! the cyber-setter,eh!
