Dear John, I can’t believe something actually has YOU stumped!! I have
been a jeweler for 27 years and thought I knew most everything about
jewelry making until I’ve read some of your replies on Orchid Digest.
Upon seeing this question I went to my shop immediately and tried to
wind a coil of .85 mm square wire around my round nosed pliers. It
seemed to work perfectly well and was rolling up nicely on the
square. The only conclusion I can come up with is that it may not
have been completely annealed. Perhaps I’m misunderstanding what
happened but I don’t think so. YOUR MY IDOL SO PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS
ONLY A PRACTICAL JOKE!!..lol
