Square hole drill bit

For those of you that though I was kidding about a three sided drill
bit for drilling a square hole.

Here you go for an explanation…

A polygon is a closed figure made by joining line segments, where
each line segment intersects exactly two others. Four sided polygon
is a square… So to drill a square hole you would use a three sided
drill bit in a drill press chuck that allows radial movement of the
the drill bit Here is the link to how square holes are drilled.

Glass hammers are on my list of tools to find like sky hooks, the
folder of missing documents, ID10T tax form (my Fair Tax signature
line is usually removed), bucket of steam, glass nails, a
left-handed screwdriver and other sordid snipe hunts.

HAVE FUN

You forgot teflon coated muffler bearings…

John,

I don’t know about Teflon coated muffler bearings but I did win one
by proving that the muffler expansion support on the ship’s emergency
generator muffler had bronze bushings with a grease fitting in the
hinge, hence muffler bearings. Somehow this reminds me of something
our John Burgess would have been involved in. Can’t remember if
Teflon was well know then.

I was responsible for the maintenance of the ship’s emergency
generators on the US John F Kennedy CVA-67 a long time ago. Snipe
hunts were fun! So was hoodwinking the officers. Salute an ensign
with your left hand and watch the fun as he tried to figure out what
you just did wrong…

Hi Bill,

Did you by any chance have to get the canon reports in the morning?

We had a certain midshipman absolutely convinced that there was a
crack in the shaft of our submarine being held together with a
liberal amount of duct tape. Young officers are loads of fun
