Many years ago I got tired of using the soft wax wire for sprues, so I made some molds. I just clip pieces from these as needed. Sometimes the curved parts are especially helpful.

Iām curious what the ball is on the sprue on the bottom row.
The balls on the sprues are reseviors for molten metal. If the casting has a thick part far away from the sprue button, I put one of these balls up near it. When the casting cools it sucks metal from the ball, preventing shrinkage porosity at the thick place. You can see a couple in the picture of these bronze belt buckles. I peobably should have put the ball a little closer to the buckle.
The triangular one at the lower right slips over the large 10 mm rod on the sprue base, and makes it easy to vacuum cast three buckles. The three hook sprues at the lower left are to sprue to the inside of rings with the design all the way around.
