[Source] Silver omega chains

Help, O great people of Orchidland! I have been using lovely round
omega 1.2mm sterling chains for my pendants and they have been well
received. Three weeks ago, I placed an order with my supplier (who
gets them for me at $4.50 each/16") and they have given me the
runaround as to when they will ship. I just found out today that
they will not be available until sometime in December. I have two
major shows and a huge order to fill before December 10 and I’m
completely out of these chains. I don’t want to change to another
style because these work really well with my designs.

Can anyone help me? I need about 50 sterling silver 16" round omega
chains 1.2-1.5mm. I called Rio Grande and the best they can do on
price is $14.75. I need to keep these under $8 per unit in order not
to dramatically raise my prices.

Thanks in advance,
Tammy Kirks

Hi Tammy,

Have you tried Azure Imports, 303-980-1218. Also can be seen at
www.Azur1.com. I’m not associated with them, and am very pleased,
have been working with them for years. They are really reasonable
also.

Good luck,

Call Azur Global Imports at (800) 447-4583. They have round Omegas in
seven different mm thickness, from 1.0mm to 3.5 mm; I’m guessing the
1.25mm will cost around $4 to $4.50. Very comprehensive catalog, good
prices, excellent shipping / fill rates, and nice people to work
with. I’m in no way affiliated with the company, just a happy
customer, so feel free to tell them I gave you their name.

Try International Gold Chains: Silvernecklaces.com. You can find
them on the web. I haven’t needed to buy the silver omegas lately but
when I last bought, it was the best price I could find. One caveat:
When you get them, look each one over and report any problem
immediately. I have found a couple to be damaged but didn’t notice it
at first.

I just now checked their posted price and the 16 inch 2-mm comes to
7.88. I don’t know if that is up to date or not. They don’t list a
smaller omega on the web but I have definitely bought smaller ones
from them.

I am having a similar problem only for a 20" 1mm, box sterling
chain. I have tried e-bay and all I find is higher prices. My old
supplier charged 5-6 dollars. Does anyone know how the Isralie
merchants might be for this item? I have seen them on the auction but
hesitate on overseas purchases.

I appreciate any advice.

I order from Azur Global and have been doing so for about 10 years.
I just placed an order from their website, just Google them. You can
register in the wholesale part if you have a retail sales permit. I
have no connection with them other than as a customer.

You’re not going to believe this…

But Fire Mountain has 20" 1mm Venetian box sterling chain,
springring clasp, at about $3.50 at their max discount…1 piece
price at about $6.00…their part A20-1240CH… This at $12.00
market
silver… I’m assuming these are imported…

That max qauntity for discount used to be 25 items, but they
recently decided on doing an all assortable for discount
policy…the max discount now being at 50 items…first break at
15…

Remember that two sided screw punch folks were talking
about…they’ve got it at $13.00…and less with qty discount…

And for some light-hearted stuff…how about… mood
rings……? 10 for $6.00…kiddy stocking stuffers…freebie
for a customer…

How about Sunshine cloths…or their own version, Moonshine
cloth…?

My point being…it’s not too hard to hit a discount point when
everything is quantity assortable…

No connection, but have worked with them occasionally…great
customer service… For their types of items…they can’t be
beat…
