[Source] Miralloy white bronze sheet

Hello All: I teach a high school jewelry construction course and am
finding the price of sterling silver difficult. I have been told
that white bronze is a misnomer, it is a copper, zinc and tin alloy.
I am able to find on having surfaces plated but I am
looking for a supplier of sheet and wire. Does anyone have any

Thanks, Mary

I think you are going to be disappointed if you are looking for
wrought product in this alloy. Miralloy trade mark for a plating
process that puts a coating of copper tin and zinc on parts as an
under plate before gold plating. There is also a casting alloy of
copper tin zinc that is not used much anymore but you may be able to
find someone who still makes it but with that much tin and zinc in
it it is going to be too brittle to work as wrought material.

The metal you looking for is German silver, which is available from
almost any metal supplier.

you can purchase nickel sheet and wire - good (and inexpensive) for
be ginners as well

I can only suggest a supplier of white bronze metalclay – Hadar
Jacobson.

The metal you looking for is German silver, which is available
from almost any metal supplier.

German Silver is another name for Nickel Silver and is a different
alloy from white bronze which has no nickel in it.
