[Source] Leather Lined Pliers

Does anyone know where I can get a good pair of leather lined pliers
with a fine tip – either a round/flat or a chain-nose? I have a
nylon pair, but it’s not working as well as I’d like. I can’t find
the leather lined anywhere.

Thanks,
Claire

Try wrapping the tips of your regular round/flat or chain-nose
pliers with Vet Wrap. This stretchy tape is self adhering and is
perfect for this purpose. I wrap it around twice, tightly- it is not
bulky, and conforms to the shape of the pliers nicely and is tough
enough to with stand some use. You can slide it off easily and then
put them back on. It costs about $3 a roll. Gesswein 1-800-243-4466
and others sell it. It is one of my favorite products- also great for
wrapping file ends, fingers, bench pins… It is also available from
vetrinary supplyiers and under a different name from the drug store.
