[Source] Green Tourmaline Beads

I’m doing a necklace and earrings for my brother to give his
girlfriend for her birthday (beginning of October). The birthstone
is tourmaline, if I’m not mistaken, and he’d like to use green. I’m
looking for 9 briolettes total, three of them 8x12 or somewhere in
that area and the remaining six a little smaller (three for the
necklace, three smaller for each earring). I also need 11 rondelles,
somewhere between 4-6mm. I usually prefer flat faceted briolettes,
but he doesn’t have a preference so they could be flat pear,
teardrop, etc.

My problem is I’ve only been able to locate green tourmaline in
strands. Sometimes mixed with other colors, sometimes by themselves,
but the quantity is much more than I need, and we’re not looking to
spend a lot ($75-$100 total for the gems). Does anyone know of a
good place to buy smaller quantities of green tourmaline beads? Is
that a realistic price expectation, or should I look for a different
stone? We just thought green tourmaline would be nice since that’s
her birthstone.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give. I’ve learned so much
already since joining Orchid, I don’t know what I would do without
it!
