No company I know makes 14k or 18k or 925 sterling granules. You may
need to hire someone to make them for you.

If I were you, I’d re-think the value of having 925 sterling
granules because fine silver granules or Argentium sterling granules
are far superior even on 925 sterling sheet metal. Fine silver
granules and 22k gold granules are available from SPM.com. Rio
carries Argentium sterling granules.

It is possible we have a language problem here… Maybe those of you
who have responded to this post read it right, but I thought it
meant granulated beads, not granules. Jon?

I think if one were able to make and work with them, granules of
sterling could be quite and interesting design element. You would be
able to blacken them to make them stand out. It could be pretty

Try cutting a small piece of wire and melt it to get the size ball
you need and then write down the gage and length of the size ball
you want. Graduated ball can be achieved by cutting back on the wire
and you can graduate your project from a larger bead to a finer bead.
think of a rams horn with it’s curl and place your largest beads at
the base and start graduating them down to the tip, holding the
curvature that you want. Ideas make beautiful jewellery and make you
feel good too.

Good Luck, Stephen

I was asking about spherical balls of metal to be used for
granulation - are these called granulation beads or granulation
granules?

Jon

regarding granulation supplies a web address of spm.com was given by
someone, this leads to a pest control site. Can anyone give the
correct web address please. Or any other source for 18ct 22ct and
sterling granulation beads.

Thanks
