[Source] Gold-fill findings

#1

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a source for 14k gold-fill clasps in a variety of
styles. I’ve checked Rio, which only has the plain lobster and spring
ring. I’m looking for different styles of the lobster and anything
else interesting. I’m also looking for hangtags in 14k gold-fill but
haven’t come across any. Can anyone recommend a good source?

For gold filled findings you could try Fire Mountain Gems. They have
a website http://www.firemountaingems.com and they offer a free
catalog. I’m sure they must offer the catalog on the website but
here is their customer service number…800-423-2319

I use Fire Mountain for gold filled findings when friends and
neighbors who know I am a goldsmith bring me their costume jewelry
to repair. They have pretty good variety and are quick to ship out
orders.

Hope this helps.

I buy my gold-filled findings from Kamal Trading Company. They are
in Anaheim, CA.

address: 2622 W. Lincoln Ave #101

They come to the GLW (Gem & Lapidary Wholesale) Tucson Shows every
year. I have been buying from them for 5 years. Always good quality
GF findings. They carry a good assortment of , GF beads, head-pins,
earwires and posts, clip on ear wires, clasps, etc.

I don’t know how they are to deal with by mail or internet, but are
very nice in person. They have a nice color photo catalog and sell
karat gold and sterling silver findings as well. I believe they
have a minimum order charge for mail orders, but not at the shows.

No personal connection, just a satisfied customer.

The other company I have dealt with in Tucson is CGM, Inc. I
believe they are from New York. I don’t have an address but you can
probably locate them on the web. Their catalog is Black & White and
a bit more difficult to navigate.
