[Source] Druzy

I have checked the usual places and suppliers to no avail for
free-form druzy in the area of 15mm to 35mm suitable (as suitable as
possible) for bezel setting. If you have a favorite supplier you
would be willing to share with me I will be forever greatfull.

By freeform, you mean??? Not round, oval, etc? If so, try Jason Penn
Designs. Great shapes in natural (mostly), and colored/coated druzy
(among other materials). Contact me off list and I’ll give you his
number. BTW, he’s also a contributor to the Orchid Raffle, and a
swell guy.

Hi Richard:

You could try Dikra in New York. The website is dikragem.net. I
didn’t look to see if they have free-form (their on-line catalog
takes too long to come up) but I know they have druzy. If you call
them, they will tell you exactly what they have in stock. So far, I
have found them very helpful.

Good Luck

Ricahrd,

What type of drusy material are you looking for…I usually have
some.

Hi,

I can’t make any promises, but you might try www.gemcenterusa.com
They sometimes have such things.

Wayne, The mineral is not that important, the color is. I am looking
for a variety of colors and shapes (mostly freeform) for bracelets,
pins, pendants etc. Just about everything I do is bezel set so edge
height and evenness is important. Being a one man shop my quantity
requirements will not be huge. If you could show me what you have
available it would be a good start. Thanks, Richard

I get my drusy from Bill at Rare Earth Mining while at the Tucson
gem show, rareearthmining.com. They had a very large selection.
