Was: Soldering sterling sliver jump rings
Try using ceramic-tipped tweezers to hold the jump rings when soldering. With a smaller contact area than typical third-hands, and the much lower heat conductivity of the ceramic tips, you'll dramatically cut down on the heat-sink effect while soldering. You can google or visit: tdiinternational.com
FYI, I tried to order some of these tweezers and got this back from
the company today, rejecting my order. Does anyone have another
source? When I placed my order, nothing in the ordering process said
anything about the type of business I had to be, only that I had to
order $75 minimum.
