Try Metaliferrous in NYC. Although I am sure there are other
sources out there for purchasing metal.

I think the best source of flat and wire stock in brasses is
available through Indian Jewelers Supply http://www.ijsinc.com or
Thunderbird Supply http://www.tbscorp.com Less expensive than other
sources, will cut to specs and carries up to 36" length (think etched
brass kick plates for doors). Besides red brass, they have yellow brass,
nickel, silverfill and copper.
