[Source] Amazonite

Anyone know where I can purchase 6-7x12mm strands of amazonite?
Thanks.

One of my favorite sources for beads is TAJ Company in New York.
tajco@hotmail.com or on-line at www.tajcompany.com. He very nice, has
a wonderful selection and can find anything you need. Good Luck to
you!! Rachel Silber

Rachel and all, I have to agree with Rachel that TAJ is an excellent
source for a lot of materials. I have not purchased from TAJ for
several years now (since moving to FL) but used to deal with them
quite a bit some years ago. No connection…just a happy customer.

From the International Gem Show today: The only place that I found
good amazonite (amazonstone) was a place called Earthstone.
Everybody else had either that fused-glass-looking light aqua,
unstriped stuff, or the awful garish green variety. Earthstone had
the medium-aqua with white veining that I remember from my
mineralogy classes - very nice. If you’re interested, I’ll look up
contact info.

Who are TAJ and FL? I live in the UK and am not familiar with the US
suppliers, but I am always looking for good sources of stones and
gold findings. Thanks all Pat

Pat,

I would have mentioned that here in the States we talk in acronyms
such as TAJ and FL but, lo…you do too in the UK. Anyway, TAJ is
NOT an acronym…its a company and they sell beads and pearls.
Since its been a while since I delt with them, not sure if they still
sell findings or not. I used to purchase some very nice pearls from
them…that was before the big Kobe earthquake and I don’t know what
they have these days.

FL is short for Florida!
